| Cell Alerts for Problem Retailers |
Every school class, and a lot of families have problem children (well, maybe not yours..). They don't behave well and bring a bad name to the entire group if not dealt with properly.
In this case, we have problem retailers who can't run their websites and inventory systems with any degree of competence, atleast not to the level the Wii market requires, and we at Wiialerts.com expect.
Right now, the "problem retailers" are (We will continuously monitor and update this automatically)
1) Sears/Kmart
2) Target
3) Etoys Console (low stock)
They put up stock at random times during the day and night, and often have 0, 2 or just a handful units for sale. Good retailers like Amazon, CircuitCity and others make sure that they have decent stock when they go on sale.
The most important goals of our Alerts System are:
1) Tell you instantly when a hard to find item is on sale.
2) Be as reliable as possible, so an alert received is taken seriously.
3) Anyone reacting quickly to an alert should have a reasonable chance of scoring.
4) The alerts should be a pleasure to use, and should be incredibly effective.
We put an enormous amount of time and effort into achieving these goals.
Not dealing with these problem retailers' alerts in a special way turns the whole process into a joke, frustrates our users, clogs up our systems and cell company systems with useless alerts, and wastes time and money. We can't let that happen. So for these problem retailers' alerts:
1) We will send out all Email alerts as usual
2) We will update our Webpage as usual
But:
3) We will send out cell alerts only to a randomly selected fraction of those who are subscribed to these alerts.
This number will still be much larger than the expected quantity for sale. So everyone getting these cell alerts will be subjected to the same issues and frustrations, and will need to respond quickly to have a chance. But atleast we won't have everyone in the country dashing to grab 0 or 5 Wiis time after time.
As with anything at Wiialerts, we give you the choice to do what you want.. You can opt to receive all these problem retailers alerts. If you don't do anything, your cell alerts will automatically be limited. We recommend keeping it this way, or maybe you can try them all for a while and get lucky, or go back to having the limit enabled after you run out of patience.
You can of course not subscribe to these retailers' alerts at all, but with this mechanism things will be a bit less out of control even if you subscribe.
Now you can just go Back to the page you came from, or can change your settings below.
You can change this as many times as you want from this page.
If you want to change the current setting enter your Cell Number (10digits, no 1, no dashes etc)
